what is Ishta yoga
ISHTA Yoga is an acronym for
the Integrated Sciences of Hatha, Tantra and Ayurveda.
It also is Sanskrit for individual - so ISHTA yoga focusses on the individual, offering students the possibility to truly become comfortable within themselves.
Hatha- central physical practice of ISHTA Yoga. Postures designed to strengthen and revitalise the physical body.
Tantra- philosophy component of ISHTA Yoga. Tantra stems from two words tanoti and trayati meaning expansion and liberation. Using tantric tools during meditation, (such as mantra-sound and yantra-shape) we can find start to enter into a state of bliss within ourselves.
Ayurveda- third aspect of ISHTA yoga. Translated as 'the science of life', Ayurveda is an ancient Indian healing system which aims to rebalance your constituiton taking into account the world around you and what affects you in a negative and positive way
